Pulaski Area Historical Society Invites the Community to “An Old Fashioned Christmas” at the Museum

PULASKI, WI — The Pulaski Area Historical Society invites the community to step back in time and celebrate the holidays at “An Old Fashioned Christmas” on Saturday, December 5, from noon to 4:00 p.m. at the Pulaski Museum. This free event is open to the public, and everyone is welcome!

Visitors can enjoy a nostalgic Christmas exhibit inspired by the 1960s and 1970s , bringing back memories of Christmases past and celebrating the traditions, decorations and holiday spirit of the era.

A special highlight of the afternoon will be Story Time with Father Ed at 1:00 p.m. Father Ed Tlucek, O.F.M., pastor at Assumption B.V.M. and St. Stanislaus Parishes, will read St. Francis Christmas for Kids , a heartwarming story about St. Francis of Assisi and the first live Nativity scene, created on Christmas Eve in 1223. Families are encouraged to bring the children for this special opportunity to learn a little history while enjoying a meaningful Christmas story about faith and kindness.

Guests can also visit with Mrs. Claus in the kitchen and bring a copy of a favorite holiday recipe for Mrs. Claus’s Recipe Box . The Historical Society is collecting family recipes, holiday traditions, memories and pictures to help compile a community holiday recipe book.

Throughout the afternoon, guests can enjoy holiday mocktails, cocktails and snacks while visiting with historians, friends, neighbors and fellow community members.

The Pulaski Museum has also received a new look and feel, including a new resource area and updates to several exhibits. “An Old Fashioned Christmas” is the perfect opportunity to come inside, see what’s new and rediscover the history of our community.

Bring your children, grandchildren, parents, grandparents and friends for an afternoon filled with holiday memories, local history and community spirit.

The Pulaski Area Historical Society especially invites all members and volunteers to join the celebration. This event is also a way to say thank you for their continued support, time and dedication to preserving Pulaski’s history.
